Not always, but surprisingly, many new vehicles arrive with paint defects already present. Swirl marks, light scratches, water spots and polishing marks can occur during transport, dealership preparation or washing.
Every vehicle is inspected before coating, with a single stage machine correction included. If extra paint correction is recommended, we'll discuss it with you before proceeding. This ensures we're protecting the paint in the best possible condition rather than simply coating over existing defects.

No ceramic coating can make paint scratch-proof. A professional ceramic coating can provide additional resistance against very light marring and environmental damage, but it will not prevent deeper scratches, stone chips or damage caused by improper washing.
Proper washing and maintenance are still important for keeping coated paintwork looking its best.

Most ceramic coating services require the vehicle for approximately one full day, although more extensive packages or vehicles requiring additional paint correction may take longer.
We'll let you know the expected timeframe when your booking is confirmed so you can plan your drop-off and collection.

Ceramic coatings are designed to make maintenance easier, but they still need to be looked after. We recommend regular washing using a pH-neutral car shampoo, safe wash methods and clean microfibre towels.
Avoid automatic brush car washes and harsh chemicals where possible, as improper washing can still create scratches and reduce the coating's performance.
We'll provide you with aftercare advice so you know exactly how to look after your vehicle once it leaves Velor Detailing.
